Proper rest is important as well as the work. Because you are burning over the course of the day, so you also need to set a time aside where you can fill your cup, take a step back from your work, enjoy the present moment, and simply be happy. I understand that relaxing might be hard, especially because most of us either have days when we can’t stop working, but also days where can’t start working, but it’s all about finding that work-life balance. Today I’d like to share with you some thoughts on a topic of relaxation that might be helpful for you.
Word ,relaxation’ has a different meaning for everybody
That’s right, and you should find what is best for you. For me, the idea of relaxation is listening to/playing music, watching TV/YouTube, chatting with friends, cooking, exercising, or doing something creative. How can you find out what is the best way to relax for you? Try to answer this question: If I’d have an extra hour of leisure time in my day, what would I do? If the answer to this question is not work-related, then congrats, you just found the perfect way to relax and replenish your energy.
Protect the time for relaxation
Now, it’s time to stop asking ,What if' I had more time’ and it’s time to start actively making that time and protecting it in your calendar. So my action point here is Every single day, schedule time where you’re going to do things just for fun, just for you. It can be in the afternoon, it can be in the evening, but when you already found this time, then protect it whatever it takes. Planning out time for relaxation doesn’t sound fun, but it really works. Because by really scheduling that time, you’ll not feel guilty about not working. You’ll just enjoy your free time.
So this was a short post on relaxation. These days, I try to keep these posts short, because last week, I committed to a challenge, that I’m going to publish one post each day for thirty days. So far, I published 8 posts (with this one) so it’s going pretty well. But it’s exhausting, not gonna lie.
See you next time!
